Custom engine mounts Sat, 18 October 2003 21:30 Go to next message
Just wondering what the best way would be to get custom engine mounts made up.

Do I put the new engine in the engine bay then trailer it to a workshop to have them make the mounts or is there a better way?

Thanks

you could make the new mounts out of wood (like 3mm ply), then, take them to a machine shop and get them to fabricate them for you?

otherwise take the whole lot to the workshop and let them do it for you?

I made cardboard templated for everything i made myself. 6mm plate for me crossmember. And 8mm angle iron for my custom engine mounts.
