Hi,

I wouldn't expect more than a couple of horsepower increase from a full port and polish job on a 20v head, especially if that is all you do. (i.e. no cams,no compression increase, etc)

it'll all be increases up high as well, and if you do a lot to the ports,at the expense of the small bottom end these engines already have.
the 20V is not a torquey engine,it's meant to be revved hard to get it's best performance.
the design has sacrificed most of the low down power for top end flexibility.

if you're looking for a small increase down lower in the revs, try playing with the VVT switching point. turn the inlet cam advance on a bit earlier, say at 3000rpm. this should gain you a little torque, but don't expect miracles.
fitting longer trumpets to the throttles might help as well, especially if your current ones are under 3" long.

I would be interested in the spare head you have. what would you want for it? where are you? what parts are you looking for as a swap?

i can c that ur a big initial d fan, i am also an fan i have all the dvd's and i also have them on my computer (stage 1 2 3 impact blue and battle stage) lol any way.

the thing is i have fited a larger afm on my car ae101 (levin) and it is running rich (i think thats ok) but the revs get tight up top about 7800 to 8400 and it feels some what slow between 1000 and 3000 so anything to free it up would be good.

what i would take for the head is a muffler system (dont have to be new) 4 my levin (would like to keep the twin pipes i like to c them )
i am in Kingston Jamaica.

You're in Jamaica? that makes swapping parts a bit difficult.
I don't have an exhaust for a levin, and would have to order something from NZ or Japan to get one,so we will have to give the swap I miss I think.
you might want to try takakaira.com though. they are reliable, and can get quite a bit when it comes to import parts.

as for the VVT point,if you're using a std ECU,you might want to try using a VTEC controller. these override ther std ecu's signal, and are adjustable,so you can play with the cut-in point.

if you're running aftermarket management, you should be able to alter your switching point quite easily, the VVT will be controlled by one of the external outputs.

>how much 4 the adjustable ecu

anything from AUD$1500 to $4000. price depends on how much resolution and what features you require.

>whats the name of it

my suggestions would be the Autronic SMC,the Motec M48,or the Haltech E6K,in that order.

>where can i get it

all three are Australian companies. whether they have distributors in your part of the world or not,I have no idea.
I would suggest you contact them directly in Oz.

>and will it plug right in with out cut wires.

no. these are aftermarket units,as such you'll need to wire them into your existing loom.
