i have a complete 2TGEU and a 3T. which pistons would be the best 2t or 3t? i've heard that the 2t ones need flycutting. is this true?? which one gives higher comp ratio??

i know of a few ppl (in the US) who have used Venolia 89mm pistons... not sure on comp, but it makes for a good (almost) 2L Very Happy

mate you have 2 use the 3t as the gudgeon is 8mm further up the piston ,fly cut these the same as 2tg pistons and use 3t crank go 1mm oversize as going bigger will split the bores

89mm is ok, and i know of ppl with the Venolia pistons (Tims toys and Will from this forum)

Correct, except that gudgeon is 4mm upper in the 3t piston. 88mm for over bore is safe IMHO. Many peoples seem to use 89mm pistons with success. Worth mentioning is that I saw recently someone selling 2T with 90.5mm pistons. The engine was out of rally car.
