Hey all,

does anyone know or have any really good valved shocks for the front of my Corona MK2 Wagon? I am putting 92 Toyota Supra brakes with the spindles on my car and i would like some suspension behind it. After all, after about 130 MPH everything gets scary! the car floats like a boat.

I really hope i can get some Koni's of Tokico's Smile

thanx in advance!

I have Koni reds in both of mine, front and back. It took a bit of work to get the big bore 55mm ones in the front - I had to enlarge the central hole and offset mount the lower shocker bolt holes. The smaller bore Koni Reds just slot straight in. It certainly helps with the boatiness.

Some springs will help .....probably 600 lb/in spring rate for the street (standard is only 220!).

I'd also recommend a good alignment - if you are seriously going to be spending that much time on the scarier side of 100 mph then get them to dial in a bit more caster (I am running 4 degrees). By using longer upper control arm bolts and a big shim (read big chunk of aluminium), I was able to get negative camber up to 4.75 degrees.

So is negitive camber when the top of the tire is leaning in the fender? or is it when the bottom is deeper then the top.

Did that make sense? Smile

Also.. i was thinking that my springs were really tight. cause the car was ok withought shocks. so i figured with them it should help out a bit. I thought of getting some Koni's for the front with really good valving.

Anyone know were i can get some yellow KONI's?

Well I'm not in Washington state, in fact you'll see were all on the other side of the Pond. I am happy to supply you with details for the distributor here in Melbourne (Australia) if you want.
Negative camber is when the upper part of the tyre is further under the fender than the lower part. Positive camber is gay - the stock Mk2 actually has +0.5 degree camber dialled in as standard!!!
