I've posted for this a few times but thought I'd give it another go..
Anyone have a TA23 crossmember they'd part with?

is this for the out of car rack conversion?
would u like to measure up my TT132 xmember and confirm if its the same as a TA23 xmember
if it is ill give it to you for the conversion and u can then give me your existing xmember when everything all finished?
contact me if your interested, tis worth a shot if u get desperate, ive been getting conflicting info about whether or not the TT132 is the same or not

TT132 is not a bolt in fit. The bolt spacings are different for that cross member and won't bolt into an RA28 chassis - been there tried that! You will also have problems with bumpsteer using the TT132 rack.
Joel, look into the AE86 option more, I believe it's more "doable".

this is whats confusing me
u sure we are talking about the same car? the TT132 i got my xmember off did not have a steering rack.
it had non-power steering box, struts and brakes were same as celica (from what i remember the whole front end was the same as a RA23-40 celica)

Fingers crossed it is the same.
I've got a KE70 rack for next to nothing, which from my inital measurements is identical in shape and size to the AE86 rack.
I'd prefer to use the AE86 rack as it has a better ratio than KE70 i've heard. But I'm hoping to use the KE as a dummy template for the design then once all sorted put AE one in.
Clintgodde - i'll start re-investigating getting that rack and xmember shipped over.

TT132 didnt come with a rack and from what i saw when grabbing the xmember that the whole front end is the same as a RA23-40 celica much like the RT132 is.
TT142 does have a rack but im thinking it will be the same setup as the RA60/ST141/RT142/RA65
i will be at the drags on wednesday do u want me to bring my xmember? take it home, measure it up, if its the same we can work something out?

Yeah the RA60/ST etc racks are a lot wider. The KE70 is is much better suited to the RA28 it seems.
I am only taking measurements from the pivot points for the control arms. I want to keep all angles similar from the doner car so have made sure its as close as possible to RA28.
The KE70 control arm holes sit around 610mm apart. The RA28 is around 590mm or so? Thats VERY rough measurements. So we are talking 10mm or so on each side.
Not sure what effect thats going to have yet on the whole thing but time will tell I guess

i was just about to ask what have u been smoking cause i didnt think you noticed what i had said or the offer i made
