basically - it's a prick of a job to do. toyota gives them to their apprentices to do.....
manual states to INSPECT the timing belt at 100,000.

easiest way is to drop the motor out and then go from there talking from experance!!!

Yeh i pretty much no that you have to drop the motor out, but i thought there mite be an easier way out of it.. i guess not, so ill be up shit creek with labour work

If it's anything like my ST162, it's a complete pain in the arse....I'd imagine it's possible with the engine in there, but it'd probably be as easy to just drop the engine out and do it that way and maybe do a fair bit of work on the engine all at once.
