just wondering how well an engine not built for a turbo handles the extra boost. it is a 2tg. new rings etc im wondering how well it would handle a turbo around 8 psi. if i turboed it.

turbo and carbies is always going to be a hard thing to get right.

Why not just swap in a 3T-GTE. Let toyota do all the hard stuff for you.

im not using carbies im using efi im wondering how the pistons and piston rings handle it.

It's all about tuning.

Good tuning = no problems.

Bad tuning = melted pistons, busted rings, blown headgasket.
