unknown sound under acceleration

Hey all, new to this forum, so i'll start with the most pressing issue for me;
well, the title pretty much says it all. when i release the clutch quickly at moderatly high revs, the following happens:
- the stick comes over to make-out with my knee
- there is a (un)healthy grinding sound made
the sound definetly comes from the gearbox/clutch area, and only under heavy launch loads
any thoughts?
cheers

Actually, a stick leaning over to greet your leg would suggest a broken engine mount or two. This would also explain the nasty noises. It's worth investigating anyway!
If you want a 5-speed for an RT104, what you need is a W50 out of an RA23/28/40 Celica. Should be a direct bolt in.
