Both.. They have no points.. But dizzy to fire the plugs its got an ignitor and yeah so electric ignition..

if i put a 3tgteu head on a 2tg block is the firing suystem (dizzy and electric) easy to hook up.

The dizzy for the 3T-GTE is on the head so mechanically it will work just fine.

Getting the electics correct will be a mission but basically all you would be doing is making a 2T-GTE, not sure why you would want to make the 3T-GTE only 1600cc's tho ?????
