?? 20v 4AGZE ??????????? Mon, 20 October 2003 13:55 Go to next message
Confused hi, has anyone out there seen or built a 20v supercharged engine. i believe that this would possibly be an awesome little street package, and great for the track too. would the s/c inlet manifold bolt up to the 20v head? the pistons shoulnt be a problem because the head is a non-interference type. the only reason the pistons have cutouts is incase you break your timing belt and things get out of time. your replies are greatly apreciated, steve. Surprised

hmmmmm...there's an idea. i've been trying to work out the possibilities of making some sort of 16v 4age-gze hybrid motor, but this 20v gze idea doesnt sound half bad.

i'm assuming that the 20v isnt mapped for boost, so you would have to run either a microtech (or some other EMC) or a super afc with it Rolling Eyes

good luck with the project steve, (if indeed such a project is to take place)

p.s. let us know what you find out

Surprised i was thinking that with 4agze pistons and aftermarket EMS, you wouldnt even need a pully upgrade as you are spinning the charger faster at the higher engine speed. though i am somewhat of a power junkie and would probably end up trying it anyways.
although without the need to upgrade the pully, it might be advantageous in not swallowinging gynourmous amounts of fuel that some of the pully upgrades have been noted to do. Rolling Eyes

turbo's work better on this combo, as the 20V head loves to rev. S/c will choke it.
