Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and this would be my first ever post, I'm currently building up a ke70 corolla for some reason and I've got myself a 4agte to drop in it, what i wanted to know is if anyone has done this before could you tell me any problems that might arise? so far these are the parts i have aquired, and some problems i know of allready..
i have the motor (duh) just come out of a sprinter and was turbo charged, I have been given all the supercharger stuff which im not going to use because i have a bbt28 going on, I know that if the throttle body hasnt been changed ill need a 4age standard one so it doesnt point straight up to the bonnet and i read that the alt has to be moved up to clear the sway bar (this also should have been done), I have a gearbox out of a 1.6ltr corolla 4a carbie job with the hydraulic clutch assemb. and all the bits to go with the clutch etc, i know i might have to use the age flywheel because the gze flywheels are to large (?) and i have the yoke, driveshaft and complete diff from a ae86.. I'm guessing the speedo will need to be messed about with (i'm not to worried about that) i will be using the standard ecu with a e-manage piggy back computer to tune it, oh and i have a supra 2ltr intercooler as well..
one other thing i was wondering also is, how different to the 86 would the ke70 be? as i was wanting to purchase coil overs and rear suspension, and would be easier to shop for a 86 then a ke70 for said parts..
Hopefully I should be tearing around perth streets in my matt black ke in no time V8's look out haha
I have no idea if im gonna have trouble at the pits :/ just have to wait and see if they give me a permit (I have vented ra60 disks on the front, so i shoooould be ok?)..
Thanks for your help
-Brian

et on rolla is about 2-3 weeks give or take a week, i found a gearbox this afternoon, so theres only a few more things i need to go shopping for.. Cant believe gboxes are that hard to get from a sprinter / ke71, costing me 440 from just toyota.. ouch
cruise action would be good
