i'm having some electrical problems with my car and i'd like to get a new wiring harness (engine bay harness) or make my own. i have an old harness sitting in the garage that's about 96% complete. (the previous owner cut some plugs off.)
i'd really like to make my own but am not very experienced with doing that sort of thing (although i definitely have enough time to screw around with it) SOOOOOOOOooo... i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction???
i'd specifically like to know if i can find brand new connectors, just like the ones on the harness now. you know, the green/yellow round bit's with the o-rings?
THAAANKS!!!1!~

what is actually wrong with the wiring in the car at the moment?, it may be a better/cheaper option to try and fix the loom already on your car, after all toyota charges steep prices for the things that you are looking for.

well the hot wire that goes into the fusible link box broke off while i was driving. after three weeks i finally found that.
before i fixed that wire only the 10A ENGINE fuse had 12v going through it.
after i fixed that wire the 10A HAZARD/HORN, 15A EFI, and 10A RADIO all started working (having 12v through them). BUT for some reason the one that worked earlier (10A ENGINE) stopped working once i fixed that wire.
i've since cut apart the small strip of harness from the fusible link to the fuse box and everything looks ok, as far as wiring goes.
sooo... i'm just the kind of person that likes to start over. but i can see your point and am willing to go along with it.
my next experiment is to replace my fuse box with a friends that we know works and see what happens.
the problem overall is that the fuel pump is not getting power when the ckey is turned on and even when the car is being cranked.
advice?
