Well considering you need to use the JDM calipers also.... I would say better off getting the DBA slotted..... if they are vented also....

dba don't make vented rotors for sprinters.
i'm assuming the dba's will stop harder, but the jdm ones will resist heat/brake-fade better?

Time for a brake upgrade then! Very Happy
Good start would be RX7 calipers!!

Ummmm are you planning on running it at the track or something????

Reason I ask is cause if it is mainly for street use... I personally would go the DBA's with a really good, and I mean GOOD set of pads.

To give you an idea there are GZE sprinters that go to the track with just a good set of pads and they do pretty well, ie. resist fade not too badly ...... what really helps I think is the sprinters low weight..... you'd be surprised what the standard OZ brakes can take with decent pads.

I'd say a set of matching JDM vented rotors and calipers would be heaps better. They'd be a lot more effective at getting rid of the heat.

Having said that, if you can't find them cheap it may be more beneficial to just do a real brake upgrade.

maybe try other brands, such as protec and see if they have any brakes for the sprinter.

I'm always amazed at just how well those pathetic looking little standard solid rotors work - but nothing beats a DECENT upgrade all the same Evil or Very Mad

they don't stop, thats whats not so good.

sure a "decent" upgrade would be a good idea, but spending $1000+ on a car which isn't track raced at all is a bit much.

as for the ra40/ma61 upgrade, i'd need ra40 struts, ma61 rotor/calipers, and i'd have to fabricate brackets to fit, right?

If it's not being track raced.... like I said..... why bother spending heaps of money on JDM stuff when a set of slotted DBA's and good pads will provide you with good breaking for the road.

It's like you are worried about spending money on a brake upgrade because you don't take the car to the track...... that is OK.... no problem in my point of view....so your best bet is what I have stated above!
