for the plugs to give you the power gain you speak of your old plugs must have been fouled and in need of replacing anyway.

Yeah, there's no power to be gained from spark plugs, unless your old ones were shagged or the engine has been heavily modified beyond the abilities of the factory ignition system (eg turbocharging a NA engine). Iridiums are nice but they don't give you more power out of thin air.

I'm currently using them.

As for results. Buggers me. My car came standard with them fitted from factory. Very Happy Yes I've even pulled them to check them. When I last did back @ 60,000, (currently @ 72,000 now), they were still in top condition.

Iridium IX are good but I don't know where you pulled the 100,000Km thing from... its platinums that are supposed to last 100,000.

Iridiums have a very fine centre electrode and therefore can give a good spark on almost any electrical system... even an almost dead one. Thats about the only bonus... negatives are that you can't adjust the gap and they cost a tiny bit more than coppers... $16ea for the 0.8mm gaps that I got for the 3SGTE.. for a couple of bucks who cares though

Ah crap, that's it. I've got the platinums as standard. I got a little mixed on those names there for a while. Smile

the iridiums work the same as platinums but dont last as long, dunno why u got iridiums when platinums are like $5 more and the last upto 4 times longer.
there may have been no listing, but a quick call by your local parts fella to NGK would've been sufficient to acquire platinum P/N
