My 4AC engine problem -need help Fri, 24 October 2003 08:46 Go to next message
i have this problem with my 4ac engine...every time i start the engine..smelly and smokes will come out...i dont know whether this is white smoke or normal smoke...

the engine idles like its so dead...like missing out of one spark plug....but when i drive it for a lil longer..it becomes normal but still jerks at the green lights (stationary -> 1st gear acceleration)...as long as it is moving for a moment..the engine seems fine...

whenever my car stops (like 5 minutes) or i start my engine...when i accelerate...the car seems to be shaking and i feel like there's some auto parts under the car is not tight..

any advice or diagnosis i can do, and how can i fix this problem...

do a compression test,if the compression is fine make sure the timing is set correctly, if all else fails change the leads, dizzy cap, points and plugs and see if that helps

What colour does the oil come out on the dipstip when you pull it out.

Water in the oil and a chocolate milkshake in the radiator is a bad thing.

i know this has been said b4 and im gulity of spending money on my 4ac but in all seriousness, if you cant change the headgasket yourself, or cant identify the source of the problem, just get an age in there
