help ae86 windscreen wipers wont work

hey all
just picked up a sprinter the other day and it started raining today and the damn wipers wont work-they dont move an inch-i checked the fuse for it and its all 100% anyone know what else i can be checking as it seems the motors are behind the firewall :s - any advice would be greatly apreciated on this
also the fuel pump makes a loud ass tick ticking sound after driving for like 15 minutes- anyone know why this is?

One of mine didnt work when I bought it and the owner thought one of the motors was buggered. Turned out it needed the bolt holding the wiper on tightened

i wish it were that easy
i checked the fuse and it seemed fine but all they do is make a whine they dont budge an inch-can anyone else offer any advice coz i dont want to get caught in a thunder storm lol

nice name mate
and about the wipers
check the wiper mounts without wipers see if they move even a mm
then youll know it its the motor of the mount/blade

hmmm
i pulled the blades off the screen and turned them on and they didnt work unless i physically moved the blades to centre then it would push the blades once-i dont know what is wrong or what i can do about it since the motors are behind the firewall its not easily checked-if i need a replacement where can i get one to suit the sprinter ????

i think that you'll find the wiper motor is not behind the fire wall but in the rear passenger side corner of the engine bay behind the strut tower, first try to take off the motor, and then see if it works, if it does then take the wipper mechanism out (it should come out through the holes under the windscreen, where the black mesh stuff is) when the mechanism is out check it all out, if its good then attack it with a can of wd40 or similar.
