ta22 rear disks? Sat, 25 October 2003 13:19 Go to next message
i've got a ta22 celica, 73 model and i want to get rid of those drum brakes on the rear and put some disks on it...

does anyone know if there are any other cars that have a set of rear disks that slot straight in? even if it's the whole diff?

doesn't bother me either way...

i heard rumours that there is a certain model of supra which has rear disks and either the disks or diff slot straight in without much hassle... is this true?

'cos i'd rather do that as i want to stay with toyota parts if i can...

thanks...

i got some corona avante disks that bolt up to the stock diff, but they require the shock absorber mounts to be moved 20mm inwards

I put rear discs on my ta27 go to classic-celica.com look in the tech info I think there is an article on it. They came from an ae86 GTS. If you need more info let me know

AE86 discs are tiny - they barely count as an upgrade over the stock drums! It's a moot point though because they're nearly impossible to find over here anyway.
