in my opinion you should keep the sprinter, don't go get a silvia like all the other sheep out there.
the gze conversion is very straight forward and has plenty of potential.with a few mods you can easily get 100rwkw, i put a 1ggze blower on mine and got 125rwkw which is more than enough for your average streeter/drifter
forget about sr20 there is alot of power which can easily be unleashed from a gze and still retain your gearbox and diff

Depends on your definition of 'retain' the gearbox + diff

u can drift the 4A-C in the wet, that has 50 kw if lucky, a 4agze would have heaps of tourque and be driftable on anything even with good tyres, so stick with the sprinter

Yeah I got the 4age at the moment, and.. Silvia would outhandle/out drift the sprinter for sure, but I just love the car, it's so nice. (for what I like anyway)
I was happy with the car till last night when I realised there's no way I'd be able to drift it in the dry. just not enough power.
Might have to look into pickin up a 4agze n a SC14.

my advice would be to go the silvia unless you are especially keen on a sprinter cause the silvia will work out cheaper in the long run and is a ready to go package. to get a sprinter to handle as well as and have as much power as a silvia requires more money than what a silvia costs, and its still not as nice a car to drive. having said that i have a sprinter and would personally rather a sprinter.

id go the silvia if you really want to drift
not saying a sprinter cant drift
any car with 4 wheels can
just a silvia would work out alot cheaper...

I don't have LSD yet, I'll be gettin a minispool or locker when I get my license back though.
the gze is lookin very appealin tho.
n all i'd really wanna do is chuck some shocks springs n a few other bits in.. then i'd be set for a looong time, thanks for feedback guys.
n yeh, i just can't see myself parting with the car.

if you got a locker, or LSD u'll be able to spin the wheels to go sideways, with some creative driving

you only need to fabricate new bracket for the sc14 and modify the sc outlet pipe and new pipe for the throttle body.

Yep, got 140.2 RWHP in a Sprinter with a series 2 4AGZE, FMIC, standard boost (6.5psi?), and Microtech MT8 computer recently. Thats enough to have fun in a car that weighs 940 Kgs!

Hey i use to own a gze ae86. has a fmic, 12psi, microtech, exhaust etc. and made 88kw @ wheels. i tried to kinda drift it with suspension it had. ie. koni's and kmac springs etc. and it was pathetic it would just do 180's so i ended up buying a 180sx and it pushed out around 100kw stock ATW, i tried the drift again and it was magic! had no problems controlling it. but im now thinking of going backto the ae86 again! i miss driving it compared to the 180
