icon5.gif  Bad camber on rear of ae82, how to fix? Sun, 26 October 2003 11:22 Go to next message
evening all,

the back left wheel of my twinky has bad negative camber, and is wearing out the inner tyre reasonably quick.
i have put lowered king springs in a while ago on the rear, but surely that couldnt have made it do this, cos the other side is fine.
maybe when i took the strut out something else has came out and didnt get put back in?!

anyway ideas on how to fix this?

I have just ordered some new gas struts for the rear, would this help at all?

thanks

The rear suspension is not normally adjustable for camber. Make sure everything is bolted together properly and check that the two bolts that hold the lower strut to the hub carrier are the right size - i.e. fit neatly in their holes. After market camber pins can be purchase for the rear and they are bolts that are smaller than the holes but have an offset cam on them that can be used to change the angle of the carrier/strut joint - and hence change the camber.
