are they the locally made superlites (actually, vary heavy), or an import that looks like it??. I might be interrested in 15 x 8 for a race car.

To save poor Jack having to email me for the answers.

They are the locally made Performance Superlights. A very very strong wheel and a tad heavy because of that fact. Still way lighter than my Oz Racing 6 spokes on the GT4 though.

$1400 for both sets, otherwise $900 for 15x8 with ok yokahoma tyres or $600 for 15x7 with basically no tyres, as 2 have tyres but are flat/bald and other two are in a box. will get offsets and pics up later on.

I'm not really interested in the tyres and I can get the 15 X 8 wheels brand new for less than $900 locally, so I'll pass.

Thanks for the reply anyway.

No worries mate.
For all the others interested, $1200 for both sets or $750 for the 15x8 and $550 for the 15x7. All wheels are in immaculate condition. No bumps or bruises.

hi everyone sorry for the delay
only details I can find on the wheels are, 15x8JJ and 4N stamped on them. Here is a pic anyway. Rear tyres a Yokohama 509 and fronts are Toyo Fz9s. http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.php?t=getfile&id=2391

Do the 15 X 8 wheels have the steel inserts in them for tapered nuts?

Can you measure the offset? Just stick a flat edge over the back edge of the rim and measure the distance to the machined surface on the mounting hub.

ok I measured from the back of the wheel by using a flat piece of timber, to the mounting hub and it measured 10.5cm. what does this mean?? was I suppose to do it from the back or front of the wheel?

Re: Superlite wheels Tue, 11 November 2003 00:38 Go to previous messageGo to next message
That works for me. You can specify it as either a + or - measurement from the centre line of the wheel, but I can work it out from the figure you've given.

I'll have to compare that to the set I already have at home to see if they're the same.

On the other question, can you see if they have steel inserts, in the stud holes, for the tapered nuts to bear against. Can be hard to tell as they are usually painted the same colour as the rim, but sometimes you can see small cerations around the outside of the insert. (I assume it they do take tapered nuts and not the square edged ones with washers!)
