coil-over question Fri, 17 May 2002 05:03 Go to next message
Hi all,

I have threaded sleeves and platforms to install in the front struts of my ae85 trueno, and have a coupla questions regarding them...

how far down the strut should the bottom of the sleeve sit, would having it level with the original spring platform just give me the ride height i already have?

do i need to shorten the strut casing to have height adjustment?

and lastly can someone recommend a brand of shocks that'd work well with this.

cheers. Cool

I'd make it so that the uppermost position of the lower spring platform will just hold the spring in place, and so you can raise the front from there.
Here's a pic of mine, if it helps.

yeah that helps thanks bill...
damn i wish my sleeves would stay silver Nope
i'm also working on (ie waiting till i have enough cash) rear coil-overs. the guys welding them are mounting the sleeves directly to the diff. i'm interested to know if anyone else has tried this, and whether it's going to work or not!
