Yeah I know this is a really long shot but if anyone had a good condition one of these I'd be very interested. It is the same size as the TA22 bonnet but is fitted with the RA23 power bulge.

Mate I don't need one I ment that maybe if the TA22 had a btter looking bonnet I may have brought one of them but that is only my opinion and is by no means put forward to upset anyone.I don't hate the 22 I just like the look of the 23 better, mine you I hope to see yours when it is done as it might change the way I think who knows. It should look the shit though hope it pans out for you

dude... i've been searching for the exact same thing you have... chances are very slim for getting one as you've probably discovered, they are sooo rare...
however your idea of getting a fibre glass one i'm interested in, i'd also like to know all the details for one of those... i must have that style bonnet... will make the 22 rule!
the only other thing i thought of, was to get a 23 bonnet... which i have in my posesion, and then get access to a boiler maker and a panel beater which i also have access too... (wen i get cash)... and then split the bonnet's frame from the top skin... reshape the skin to the correct size, u'd need to skim both edges, and router the wipers end of the bonnet to keep shape and then do the same to a noral size bonnet, swap the newly shaped skin with the 22 frame... altho i think u'd then need to try and cut out the centre part of the frame where the bonnets differ and weld in the centre part of the origonal frame to keep it's strenght...
hopefully u kept up with all of that... but neways, so far this has been my only theory as a way to get the "mean" looking bonnet i want... i've done a bit of research and theoretically i guess it could be done... alot of work tho...
the only prob i can find is that towards the outer edges of the 23 bonnet, they lip down sorta, where the 22 bonnet is flat... so i think if i get everything done the wipers end of the bonnet will stick up... ???
i duno... what ever it takes to get me that bonnet i guess
thanks
jamie

Jamie,
Mate I have searched to no avail to find a 75 US SPec Bonnet. I need one in pretty much any condition for them to take a mould off. I also need the 75 US spec front appron. (Its actually an air dam on that model !! )
To have one made is something I looked into as well. Yes it can be done but at HUGE expense and not to my satisfaction. Theory id the bonnet curve will be next to impossible to maintain due to the heat involved in adding the new centre part
Lert me know if you come up with anything !
