Hi guys,
Im looking to buy a Corolla Sx Hatch or Seca (1990-1992 model, nothing earlier, maybe even a GTi?). Must be manual!
I would like a 100kw version but dont really know much about them. Whats the best engine to get in one of these cars? What will run 0-100 fastest? What will be most reliable in the long run?
If the car has been modded, its all the better but it doesnt matter as I wouldnt mind doing some myself.
Let me know what you have. Also, include what engine, km's, mods, anything else i need to know... Oh, and definately the price!
Thanks!

Any Corolla SX (Hatch or Seca) or GTi will be manual and will have the 100kw 4AGE.
From memory the GTi replaced the SX hatch so will be newer in most cases, however the SX had some standard features such as power windows/mirrors that were only optional on the GTi.
I would expect to pay around $7k-$8k for a decent condition original GTi. Some will still sell for more to the right buyer if the car is immaculate.
Hope that helps a bit. I've been thinking about selling my GTi for quite some time now, but have decided to hang onto it a little bit longer.

I stand corrected.
