well its my mates car. We always presumed it was a ke20 (3 years now) but it has been off the road for sometime now (car is in fine working order). Now we are gonna get it reg'd and i was just checking it out the other day. The car has had a 2T put it it, exhaust and has a Dark Metallic Green/Blue paint job. Any way, the car has NO COMPLIANCE plates or any plates what so ever. But it does have the VIN#, and that told me it is a te21 and not a ke20.
So, What is the story behind these two models?
Will I have trouble getting it reg'd again? (it had rego when we bought it)
thanx

ahh, the engine type for a start??
KE20 is 3K powered 2 door sedan with K40 g/box
TE21 is the T or 2T powered version with a T40/50 g/box.
the US SR5's may have had larger brakes, but i'm not exactly sure, and some of the T series had a T series diff.
the body shell is basically the same (which is why you have two sets of holes for the gearbox crossmember )
