Hiya GuyS,
After a major service on my car a few days back, I realised that there are popping sounds upon turning off the engine and the turbo timer comes into place...so I decided to sit sit in the car for a little while yesterday and confirmed it
Anybody knows what wrong? Its a mk3 ga70 supra...
Cheers & thanks for any help!

Where in the car are the noises coming from?
If it only happens when the turbo timer is on i wouldn't expect it to be a problem. When i turn my car off the idle on my car gets slightly higher because none of the ancillaries are on anymore, this sometimes makes a bit of a burbling noise out of the exhaust while its idling

Yeah They seem to be comming from the exhaust though...and the car kinda shakes a bit with every pop...Not sure if it is normal though as I did not have such a problem before...it only occured after my car have its servicing done...damnit~~~

ed_ma61: But all this happenning when I just did my service?
It kinda feels like it only happens during the time when I turn off the engine mebbe later I should start up my car and let it idle in neutral and see wat happens...
Thanks guys for the advice so far anyway! Really appreciated!

a 'service' is a sure time for something to go wrong - you fiddle with things, and things go a little berko afterwards
id recommend just letting it idle when warm, and sit and have a listen

maybe for that split second when the primary ignition system {key in barrel} is cut off and the timer takes over, 1 or 2 sparks may miss going to their cylinders and thats raw fuel being dumped onto the nice hot exhaust turbine and lighting up
maybe, dunno

my timer sits between the ign switch and engine electrics
the ign switch merely drives the timer so there's never a time at which there is no power to the ignition - unless the timer says "XX seconds have passed, turn off engine".
sounds like your timer is not wired up correctly?
