note the one on the left was the worst, it had a equally big crack on the other side,

plugs 2, 3 and 4 were hot but no 1 {the one on the left} was mildly warm, good sign it was barely firing, new plugs fitted now

and yes, possible - tho it's usually the other end of the plug that causes problems Smile
