In the process of pulling the box n stuff out of the donor car. The starter is being a prick, just cant seem to get to the bolts. Is this swap one of those, pull out the engine jobs, or is it possible to do while the engine in is still in the car?

Possible to do with engine in car.
To get to the starter motor bolts use a couple long extensions to get the ratchet somewhere you can put some decent leverage on it. Also try using a 3/8 drive rather than a 1/2 inch - they just seem to get into tricky spots a bit better.
I accept the top starter motor bolt is tricky on the M series.

bah, u should doing it on a cressida
the engine is 1-2" closer to the firewall!!
anyway, yeah, easy to do in car, for start motor bolts, use a couple of ring spanners linked together for more leverage and pull.
failing that, get under it behind the tyre and try from there with a rachet.
failing that, do what GT said and get about 6, 9" extension bars, and physically sit behind the gbox and go from there

You should try getting at the starter bolts when you've put a 2JZ in an MA61... THEN you'd be complaining!

Thanks Cressida-Supra, the extensions did the trick. Had to hold the bolt too which was a pain. Now its out, now the fun comes of getting into the other car.
