I need new engine , I have a ke55 with a 4k i think its rooted.... should i get another 4k or a 5k? does 5k need engineering? how much power do they both have? is it worth the extra money for a 5k?

thanks

i wouldnt bother engineering a 5k, i dont think any copper would look at your engine bay and flame you for 200cc more let alone even be able to tell the diff between a 4k and 5k
i say 5k, get all the ponies u can !

5K has more torque, but both 4k and 5K are terribly restrictive.

a good 4K will be much better than a fucked 4K Wink

there is not much power difference due to the restrictive nature of the intakes etc, but the 5K will have a bit more torque.

if this is your first motor, or first mods, get another 4K, and have a muck around with it.. you can double their power with the right mods, and they are very very forgiving

how did you decide that your motor is "rooted" ??

oh, and you are still at school, running the risk of being caught in an accident when your motor is not engineered is not a good idea...

a 5K is more than 15% greater than a 4K (or darn close) so would need to be engineered in NSW...
to insure it it will need to be engineered.
if you are in an accident, you will need to be insured
and finally, if an insurance company can do anything to gt out of paying (even a different engine number than they know of) they will screw you good and proper...

although a 5K is basically the same, it's not worth the risk in your first few years of driving... go the mighty 4K (47rwkw on the toymods dyno Wink )

Well I was told by a mechanic it has low oil pressure and it sounds like its gonna blow up if u rev it over 4000rpm and for the first 10seconds its running it sounds like a truck. haha. I'm not sure how slow it is supposed to go but it goes pretty fucken slow haha

Do u think that would b making my car slower? and it would b a better idea to change it so it can be modified instead of the shit one being modified
