Strut comparison MX62 / RA6X / MA61 Tue, 04 November 2003 09:42 Go to next message
Ok, I have the struts off the SA63 celica we wrecked, which have bigger and thicker brakes (258 / 20mm compared to 248 / 18mm) and want to look into fitting these struts onto my MX62. Is it a worth while swap it they are a bolt up fitment in your opinion?

Has anyone ever compared MX62 struts to RA/MA struts, someone who has upgraded the brakes on a sprinter perhaps? The effect the struts will have on track / offset / and camber (kingpin inclination in my haynes manual is given as 7deg 26mins +- 30mins, does anyone have the figures for a SA6/RA6x celica?) would be great.

Also does anyone know how much the lower control arms differ in length MX62/SA63 (Yeah I will get off my arse and measure when I have the SA63 units out Rolling Eyes)

Any info would be much appreciated Smile

Also is it true that MA61's and RA60 / SA63 / RA65's share the same size brakes, the dba catalog states that they do (I would have thought the MA61 would have had better brakes?).

Whoa what a massive load of questions, sorry fellas Shocked Evil or Very Mad

Cheers
Wilbo

the two overlayed:

so yeah, kingpin angle of the ma61 is different to the ra60. what that means for the ra60 vs mx62 - i have no idea, but dont be surprised if theyre diferent
