HiAce diff gearsets

I know this is not the usual vehicle that is modified on toymods, but can anyone help with this. I have just completed an engine and gearbox mod on my YH71 HiAce ,the engine is a 4.1 ltr falcon with 3 spd auto. The problem is the toyota diff ratio is to low at 4.3:1, that converts to 28kph per 1000rpm. Does anyone know of a higher ratio gearset that will fit this diff or of a diff that will fit the HiAce. This is a low budget conversion ,so far the conversion has cost about $500 . I had thought of cutting down the falcon diff ,2.77:1 lsd & disc brakes, but I got a quote for shortening and resplining the axles of $110 each axle. The budget can't make it. Thanks for any help.

What series is the Diff (should say on the firewall)?
If it is E series (I think some of the Hiaces were) MX62 Cressida have a 3.707 raito.

It's a G series diff. The tallest ones we have found are around 3.5:1 and they were about $400 a set.
Back to plan A.

Thanks guys, at least I know that the HiAce diff is out the equation. Its a bugger when lack of money handicaps ideas. I might measure a cortina diff as the 250ci version had the 2.77:1 ratio as the falcon . The only problem with this diff is the axles are 4 bolt instead 5. The hassles are many but the old Commuter is much nicer to drive with 4.1ltr instead of the old 2ltr 3Y.
