icon5.gif  Does anyone name their Cars? Wed, 05 November 2003 06:11 Go to next message
I've just had a running with my missus after she heard from her sister, that her sister overheard me talking on the phone to my brother and mentioning that I was going out to see Celine later.
Of which I've copped a barrage of questions and had sex withheld pending further questioning.
Celine being the name of my Celica, I'm wondering if anyone else names their car and I mean somthing better than "The Beast"

Or am I weird? Razz Embarassed

I used to have a datto 260z that I called "Muhummed Ali", not becuase it floated like a butterly or stung like a bee, but coz the suspension was rock hard it would shake all the time!!

I now own Ms Slippy, coz she was born slippy supra!!

"my baby' is a common one

when I had the ra65, and gone in 60 secs came out, one of my not-so-astute friends made an observation that my car looks like a gt500 - and she had the unofficial name "eleanor" for a while (tho I never called it taht)

My car is yet to be named, but its also yet to be complete so I don't know what its personality is like! Smile

The Celica is usually referred to as the beast though.

My blue RA23 is called Jokey after Jokey smurf. The car is blue and everyone was calling it the smurf car. I had a bit of an incident with flames coming out the exhaust so the name Jokey was most appropriate.
My project RA23 is called Moose after the guy I bought it off. Everyone kept asking me how was Moose's car going so the name stuck.
The parts car is called the Hulk.

My old RA40 I sold, the new owner has named it Kamahl after one of the previous owners!! Rolling Eyes

i call my car the spruce moose. but then again, i call anyone's car the spruce moose.

my laser was always called "lazy", and my 300zx was always "zed", "zeddy" (for example, "poor zeddy, i'm sorry i crashed you into a tree") or "the lady" (yeah original i know).

the supra seems to just get "the supra".

and dude, calling that car bronze is extremely, uh, optimistic. i've taken dumps more bronze than that thing.

My car doesn't have a name... 'cept perhaps "hunk 'o' slow junk" or "1.5ltr peice of shit". I suppose it's a five speed... that aint bad. But it's got a carby and a cable clutch. I mean... come on people! Someone should have given me a clue before I bought my first car, realy.

My mate's 89 Magna's number plates are PVT - Pervert. He has a bumper sticker that said "Caution: Driver having sex". So yeah, he is the pervert.

I've owned four cars in the last three years:

1975 Honda Civic - "Bulletproof"
- This car had been passed through three people in my family and we all gave it hell and it never broke. My dad used it for towing.

1986 Ford Telstar GL - "Monique"
- I used to go to school with a girl of the same name who always felt either too hot or too cold and never in between. The car was the same, till the day I sold it never once ran on correct operating temperature.

1985 Toyota Corolla Seca CS - "White Panda"
- The car I got so close to respraying in a "panda" paint scheme but never did. Therefore the car remained in its original factory white colour, hence white panda.

1990 Toyota Corolla Seca SX TC16- "The Antichrist"
- This is my current car and from the day I bought it, it has been nothing but bad luck. 10 minutes after buying it at auction someone vandalised the interior, the engine was fried and I had to take out the damn gearbox twice. Then when I first test drove it I nearly got smashed into by a stupid bitch driving a crusty shitbox (tm). To this day it draw stupid drivers to do stupid thing whenever I want to go for a peaceful drive. Oh yeah and my number plate (which I DID NOT choose is VYM-666)
