GTZ struts bottoming out??????!

i recently installed ae92gtz levin struts into my ae82 twincam rolla with the ae82 strut top and ae82 springs and now if i even go over light>medium bumps it just thuds/bottoms out? never used to do it with my ae82 struts.
anyone had this problem or know anything about the struts or something i am overlooking?

does the ae92 strut has new inserts?
dose the car bounces?
personnally i don't know much about ae82 and ae92, does the struts' height look identical?

hey stars.
iv also put the ae92 gtz struts in my twinky, and i cant remember if i used the ae92 or 82 springs, but anyway, mine bottoms out to, not much but it has before.
they are adjustable shocks (not coil overs), came on the half cut so i thought theyd be better then the stock twincam ones.

thanks guys, i have a feeling its my bump stops which look pretty much dead and so arnt probably doing anything =\
im gonna put new ones in and see how that goes.
