W55 Shifter Bush Fri, 07 November 2003 04:51 Go to next message
Ok I did a search Very Happy and got the part numbers for the shifter bushes....

White Cap # 33548-31010
Green Seat #33505-35020

The white cap one is correct, however the Green seat looks nothing like what I need....I need the one that sits in the actual gearbox. Toyota told me they don't sell / have a part number for the bush, you have to buy the housing Rolling Eyes

I had a search and its come up before, but never really resolved (they said pilfer one from a wreckers Confused)

Mate if your new bush is a lot shallower then the original it should be the right one.

Mine actually sits below the two pins in the selector housing. you sort of need to squash it a little to get it in.

But once its in its sweet as, I actually put a small ammount of wheel bearing grease in the bowl part of the bush. makes for a firm but easy shift.

Well I went back and got that one, so when I get home tomorrow I'll see if it fits Confused It is a hilux on btw.

They had three different bushes and none of them looked similar to the one I had Rolling Eyes

TheStitt, the white one is not a problem, the one I was after is the one the bottom of the shifter sits in...

Yeah when I got mine earlier this year the dude at Toyota told me they were Hilux parts. The green one looked totally different to the original bush, like not even close, but it still worked sweet.
