Hilux diff onto Ta22 Sat, 08 November 2003 01:03 Go to next message
hey, I'm interested in putting a very short hilux 4.8 diff onto my TA22. Basically just so I can fit these wheels I'm after onto it. Apparently I have the 'jap spec' (I think thats it) diff, ie: not the Borg Warner diff. So 'apparently' all I have to do is remove the diff centre and plug the other one in. Anyone know what I'm talking about? got any other ideas?
Cheers

I'm not sure where you got your info from, but TA22's never had a BW diff. And a Hilux diff is never going to just "plug in", you're looking at some fairly serious modifications to make that work. I recommend you spend some time doing some research on this topic; use the search function, Hilux conversions have been covered many times here.
