Zoom (?) article SR20DET into KE55 corolla

Does anyone know which issue of zoom (or other car related mag) this was in? I remember i HAD it, but it got lost when i moved. Had details of this engine conversion. Better yet, does anyone know if the article has been put online anywhere? Would seem like a pretty pertinent one to put on toymods...

it wasn't ZOOM it was a 4's magazine some years ago - blue KE55 yeah? i have it somewhere...not scanned tho.

i just looked at the mag in the newsagents
the car looks like shit 
the engine and drivline is all good but wouldnt you get a nice car to put it in?
each to there own

i got that mag at home. from memory, it doesnt really tell you much about doing the conversion at all, rather obvious stuff such as "line up the engine and make custom engine mounts", "get a custom tailshaft made". nothing we dont already know and nothing we can use.

looks like a ke30 or early ke55 as has round headlights. mind you its hard to tell from those scanned pics

hmmm "two EFI pumps is a must"??
the blue car is definitely a KE3x/5x as it doesn't have rack and pinion... tho some jap import KE70's had round headlights!

sweet! thanks dude... i couldnt get on the forums for a few days, and then bam, its all up there! I think i accidentally threw this magazine out at some stage.... thanks a heap anyways.. Wonder how much this would cost all up. Has anyone done this conversion? Have an idea on the $$$?

if you're paying someone else...10k minimum.
if you did it yourself save the hassle and get a GOOD front cut for say 4k and another 2k for ancillaries (exh, wiring, fuel system etc).
then you'll need a brake upgrade. $1200 minimum.
not a cheap exercise, but how fast do you want to spend? it'd be a demon for under 10K.
