good radiator places in sydney? Tue, 11 November 2003 18:20 Go to next message
does anyone ahve any good/bad experiences with radiator places in sydney? I'm looking at getting my radiator recored and the bottom tank recoed, and I dont want to fork out big $ for a crappy job. I'm undecided between a good twin core or a fat triple core, but I'll discuss this withthe radiator guys before I get it done.

Also, I currently have an auto ma61 radiator - and I'm considering using the auto trans cooler for something else. Would this be suitable as a ps/gbox/oil cooler? I'm totally undecided as to what to do here, but I'll probably go for a real oil cooler eventually, and I have a good finned cooler (was for the hydraulic fan/water pump) which I might end up using for something.

A great guy I found is in Fairfield. He's hidden behind a Shell petrol station.
Not a big name, just a little gnome who's making an honest living, but his life is radiators. Loves them for some strange reason. He does a great job and is also cheap to boot!

Not sure if he's still there, but his business is called Fairfield Radiators.

I got my radiator done at a place on Toongabbie road. I think it might be ABC or ACA Radiators or something like that. Little asian guys, did a great job and cheap because I removed it myself (they were shocked it took me about 2 minutes to remove it).

well, that was an unpleasant shock
after nobie and ed mentioning figures around the $300-$320 mark for a triple core, I just got quoted $600! Shocked

so now I'm going to go find myself another radiator guy

anyone know the specs of the ma61 core?

just so I can do a call around to the rad places and find the best price - and norbie, do you have any idea what your core came out of, or was it a custom cut?
ed: where'd you get the $320 quote (or whatever it was)
