I think you are stuck with the std 3.9 and 4.1 ratio T series centes. You might be able to get a D series diff, but its smaller that a T series and the ratio's are the same anyway.
Go and build up a nice strong F series or G series Hilux axle and that will open up a whole lot of ratio's choices.
Cheers,
Mitch.

4.1 and above gives you greater acceleration at the expence of top end, while 3.9 and below are slow off the line but give a higher top speed. General rule of thumb is that you want a 3.7 or 3.9 for your Turbo car, and 4.1 or 4.3 for your Atmo car.
You can check by telling us what's on your car's build plate (all the numbers and letters) or by jacking up the rear of the car and counting how many times the tailshaft turns for one turn of the wheels.
Cheers,
Mitch.

the reason why i want it is because im going up a hill climb? next year at the moment im only using 2nd and just touching third so i would like to be using more gears what ratio would be better for this.

Jason

in other words i want to be going the same speed but be in third touching 4th

Then you want 4.1 as a minimum, and 4.3 to 4.5 would be best, or a 4.9 (Hilux) ratio would be extreme and you will be doing 5000rpm with 100km/h on the clock in 5th gear.
(Exaggerated but you get my meaning).
Mitch.

You won't find any alternative ratio's to fit a T series diff, you are limited to 3.9 or 4.1. That's why you have to swap in a complete Hilux axle before you can start looking at alternative diff ratio's.
