Heheeh, this happened often enough in the USA that they stopped release of the manual transmission models for quite a while. People were shifting into the wrong gear too often and blowing gearboxes & engines.

So your saying that in the ZZT231 Celica, it is possible to reset the red line? If so... How should I go about it and what are the details?

i was doing a pre-delivery on one around a month ago...
checking the rev-limiter and all...
farkin lift got jammed on...you know the 'L' in the vvtL-i..
that took a lot of stuffin' around
how many clutches do you guys see getting done in them? I reckon i've prolly done close to 10 in the last 2 years, and that's just me....there are 5 other techs in the workshop
btw...i love working at a Tojo Dealer!!!
my fave job is doing a roof on an MR2 Spyder...done 3 now...bloody vandals/insurance jobs...

Evoz right i even asked the toyota bloke for a expansion card h and the dont extist ANY WAYS The celica destroyed its oil pump shatted the pump then the fragments shatted the pump housing and metal bits everwhere . Glad it not my car We dont do clutches up here on them as theyre in or out but we have done a few boxes and the box has been done on this car too,it gets a good work out when he goes into sydney for a cruise.
