4AGE problems

Well i was cruising along the other day, and the engine coughed a bit then went back to normal, so i though ok no probs, then it did it again a little ways along so i put the clutch to the floor, and the engine just dies! So I pop the clutch and it starts again so im fine. I get it home, and let it idle, it coughs again then just stops. Its not a constant problem, sitting there idling it coughs every so often then dies. One time the fuel pumps kept running for ages after the engine dies, dunno if that has anything to do with it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Maybe your fuel pump relay is screwed?? Replace the bugger, it's not exactly gonna break the bank

Ok seems i was wrong. Relay now seems ok, but it seems somthing is draining power before it gets to the pumps. If i hard wire them they run fine, but through the loom, only 9v or so is getting to the pumps. Any ideas anyone?

ok perhaps i was a little quick to post that time. Tracked down the problem, it was another relay, as soon as it was bypassed, the car ran fine. Sorry for wasting your time peoples

Well i thought it was all fixed but nope. Took off from the lights and it spluttered, then died a little bit later. It feels like its not getting fuel but the pumps are running, the relays have been changed but still nadda. Anyone have any ideas at all? weve run out and i really need the car for work.
