Halogen converson for old car Thu, 13 November 2003 12:30 Go to next message
Hi all.

I've got a 1972 TA22. The existing sealed beam headlights suck, and I remember that my first TA22 had high-wattage H4's. I thought they were all like that.

Did the later model TA22's or RA23/28's have semi-sealed halogen lights as standard? If not, what's involved in upgrading my TA22's sealed beam lights?

narva and hella make conversion kits for 5" sealed beams.
the narva ones are approx $85 a pair, the hella ones are significantly more expensive.

Thanks for the link; how difficult can I expect the install to be? What is involved?

Just to head back to the original question, later model RA23/28's had sealed bean units as well, so the previous owner upgraded the headlights on your TA22 to H4's and that's what you go. Thanks for the link and price as well.
Cheers,
Mitch.
