lancer vs xr8 !

Well, my dad recently bought a brand spanking 2lt 5speed 4door lancer. it has a spoiler and tinted windows, thats it (no turbo or anything)
anywho, I was driving @ arana hills in brisbane with me 16yr old brother when this XR8 pulls up next to me at the lights.
So being the cocky kid, I revv'd me golf cart (the lancer sounds like a golf cart from no exhaust LOL) and the XR8 did nothin.
In my mind I knew that if he did take off at the lights, he was going to flog the crap outta me even if i did try, so i rev'd it again to piss him off
The Lights turn green.
I take off normally, and this XR8 just fucking didn't even touch the trottle, and he was half way up dawson parade before I got to the train crossing.

somehow i dont think the lancer would stand a chance against an xr8 with a decent DRIVER in there.
he probably did nothing cause he couldnt be bothered thrashing a washing machine

I have a same issue with a ricer lancer in town .. he loves to give me the rev up
I just laugh ..
a car that puts out less power at the fly , then mine does at the wheels ...
Its just funny

90 Kw at the fly for a 2002 model ..
So even a 3sge St162 celica has more power ( robst162 does 80kw at the wheels ! )
re mine - im gunna have to re dyno it after the exhaust and ecu are done ..
Im expecting just below 150 odd Kw at the wheels
or there abouts

Not a stock ma61 - the rb30e should get the flag - assuming equal driving skills.
