yeah well i rocked up at work the other day in my ra 23 (whick is still being "restored, i.e. spray can paintwork etc. yeah, well this smartarse that i work with who happens to have a 96 falcon his dad bought him as his first car sniggered at the celica, and i just happened to mutter under my breath something about how its faster than his car anyway. now he puffs up with pride and says "ok, lets see if youre right"
so, after work, we went for a little drive, and, at an appropriate set of lights, we have a go at it, and i, well, didnt kick his arse, but actually beat him, twice. havent heard a word about my car being a "shitbox" since

I raced an EL falcon over about 600m and he only got in front of me right at the end, rob cos i braked sooner...mine is a ae92 rolla gti.

i just finished driving a rental falcon (new) down in Melbourne/Adelaide while on holidays.
It was a piece of crap to drive.....
I wonder where this claimed 150 odd Kw has gone. You plant it and very little action happens. It is great for just pottering around in the city but i definitely doesn't like to be revved.
The commodore I drive at work is alot better. It may have crap top end but at least it is very grunty from the bottom end. It is also heaps more comfy to drive

yeah the gearing for the ford just want to have em in overdrive at 30k's an hour.
