2 quickies -
first, what temp does the PS fluid of a 1jz typically run at, and is a cooler worthwhile? I have one finned-tube cooler, and was also considering using the tranny cooler in the base of the ma61 radiator.

second (if I do decide to cool it), what sort of pressure would the hosing need to withstand?

There is a high pressure side and a low pressure side. The high pressure side's pressure is very high.

Install the cooler in the low pressure side of the circuit. They tend not to explode. You can run plain old power steering hose for the low pressure side.
