went to start my corona after like three weeks cause i lost my keys
n it wouldn't start...
I thought it could be the battery cause i turn the key n nothing happened.
So i got a friend to jump start it but it wouldn't turn over just kept clicking... so i'm wondering what it could be...
any suggestions???

solenoid in the starter? Try tapping it with a hammer...(my bet is on this one)
Starter relay?
Fusible link blown...check with multimeter for continuity
Cheers

i'd put money on wilbo's solenoid ...
or you probably don't have a great connections between the two batteries when trying to jump 'em.
if its clicking you got power down at the solenoid - but not enough...
make sure the clamps are on tight and mash them around a bit to give a clean (e.g. corrosion & crap free) connection over a wide area.
then, once you've started it, you gotta work out why the battery went flat...

yeah i've already tried wacking it doesn't make no difference
but yeah it just keeps clicking and every so often sounds like it's gonna turn over but doesn't.
Every time i've started my car before, it starts in one second
so it's gotta got something to do with it sitting there so long i think

batterys dead flat leave it on charge for a while or hooked up to your mates car for 10 mins before tring to start it.
If it still won't start check the battery water level and battery connections havn't Corroded.

blast the horn when trying to start it
it sounds stupid, but apparently, the sharp spike in power drained from the battery can cause them to, i don't know what you want to call it, burst back into life.
seroiusly, i has worked for me in the past, and what have you got to lose?

try hooking up 2 sets of jumper leads if u have them. Sometimes it gives a bit extra power to start If that dont work put it in 1st or park whether auto or manual and try pushing it just to make everything turn. sometimes the starters get stuck out if they havent been used for a while the first time u turn them over. short of that take it to a mechanic or get a new battery

also try running a cable between the + on the battery and the starter. and ground to the engine NOT the battery.
failing that start the car manually - ie: jumper a wire between the ignition point on the starter and the positive and see if it kicks? (watch for the sparks tho)
i know old corollas' sometimes suffer from voltage loss in the STA line to the starter - can be helped with a relay tho.
