anyone know what would need to be done apart from the stuff you need to do to fit into a ta23??

The TA22 is from 1970 to 1975! It is the smallest of the Celicas.

Yeah, it CAN be done, but requires some brutality I've seen a couple, and to be honest, none of them have been overly pretty

Its not too long if you want to do some major surgery in the front of your car with the radiator. And yes, a few TA22's have been done, but I have not seen any of them. My guess is you would fit a GZE engine with the front sump and use a pair of GTE engine brackets that bolt to the rear position on the block. This this combo 'might' have a chance of bolting onto your tA22 crossmember.
Cheers,
Mitch.
