I can see that the comment "Bloody Arabs" was justified after seeing that it wasn't a one off thing to drive like a nutter through a crowded public street... I had thought that something had busted or he had lost control through bad luck. The fact that they do it on purpose makes me think, "Serves him right", as coronamark2 put it.

Tyres must be cheap over there.
Camry's as well for that matter.
I've done the hand brake thing once and once only from 140k's (I was drunk) and once the car is gone it is gone and there is no comming back!

Were could you pull the handbrake at 140km/h without smashing into anything? An airport or something? Or did you smash?

Shit should clarify so not to sound like a hoon.
My uncles farm has a nice strip of tarmac 500m long and about 12m wide in a laser leveled paddock that is just a dust bowl,
this is an air strip for crop dusters when it is required.
At other times of the year.... Drag strip
When I used to have the RA40 coupe and I was down there I'd rev up all the ute driving Bogan cousins of mine that my 4 cyl could out do all their 3.8, 4.0 V6 and 253 V8s (not hard really)
So we'd sit around the shed on the piss bullshitting each other until we *had to find out* so down the back paddock and one by one they ran each other to find the fastest ute to put up against the Celica. the winner was a 4.0lt falcon ute with some exhast work done (also the newest car and the one with the least bundy bottles in the tray) We ran... I won by 1/2 car length
he hit the brakes on the line to pull up. I ran off the tarmac into the dirt pulled the hand brake up (alittle too hard couldn't relaese it) and went into a handbrakie, was all good until the back started to come around and the fatal touch of the brakes occured which put the car into a pretty much uncontrollable spin, No attempts to straighten worked and made things worse finally comming to rest. to the blowing of horns of my cousins I fell out the door and spewed my hole. Ahhh the good old days. later the marks left in the paddock were measured and were about 400 odd metres in length form thr time I pulled the brake.
Note: not somthing I have or will ever do on a public road.
But on the dirt different story.

Yeah, I don't think that could realistically be called "drifting", an activity which requires skill and finesse. A more accurate description would be "driving like a fucktard".

Farms are kick arse for doing stupid things in cars... I bought a '72 Galant when I was 15 for $200. Took off the muffler 'cos it had a hole in it. The thing was sooo loud but awesome fun to fang around the paddocks.
It was still goign strong when my gran sold the farm (I was 19). Didn't touch the thing with a spanner in the 4 and a half years I had it (other than the muffler).
