pretty sure you just need a blue slip but you have to bring the brakes up to the speck of the better car if there is a difference.. I remember my mate put a v8 into his 6 cyl VL and it just required a blue slip as it was an option for the car.

yup, according to the COP-LVM, fitting option engine can be owner certified, as long as other saftey items that were part of the option are fitted. if you fit bigger, but non-option brakes, should be cert'd, but as long as you only fit option items.. all good Smile

btw, uprated or "additional" swaybars are also owner cert.

just need blue slip for engine number change.
