This is the same reason why i put the 4age in my car.
Would idle properly, had no power under 3000rpm.
Remove the spark plugs and check for water damage.
If need be remove dizzy lead from the coil and remove spark plugs one at a time and try to start/crank the engine.
My guess is one of the cylinders will spit water at you, so dont put your head near the spark plug holes.

Doesn't oil out the dip-stick suggest that the sump has some how become much more pressurised than usual? Could an influx of water-> steam do this? I don't really know, I'm just speculating about your problem.
Good luck.

hmm well i have tried everything and even replaced the thermo stat and radiator cap ... and still the same and even getting worst .. i drive to my corner shop and the car's temp already rised up to high ...
i have come to conclusion that it is iether my radiator core being blocked (which i really hope it is) or my head gasket (which i hope is not) ...
tommor im going to get my compression tested to see if itz the gasket ... whatz the normal compression ratio for the 2nd gen 4AGE Black/Red top ??
also what is your theory of the problem ??

I had a problem just like that a few weeks ago when we had that insanly hot 2 or 3 days. i put it down to the aircon somehow. cause it oly did that idle drop thing when the air con was on, i turned it off and no more problem. I haven't had the problem since, although I haven't used the air con in a while.
