I know what a FMIC is, but you said it's standard FMIC, what FMIC? Standard WRX? Standard RX7? Standard GTR? You know what I mean?
So the air conditioning is fully installed??? What needs to be connected??
Engineered and registered? When does Rego expires?

std. fmic from gz20 soarer half cut (the one i got the engine from)
a/c is not installed at all otherwise it would work....
the compressor will bolt on, then it need a condensor mounted infront of the radiator, then hoses/pipes made to suit!
yes its engineered and registered as i said! there's roughly 11months rego left, work it out....
how fast is it? never been dynoed or ran on track
but i promise if i take u for a drive u'll think it's fast enough to wear your brown undies next time!
and seriously, how many t04 u think u can have on a 2 litre?
only 1 mate! 2 of them would not do anything!

Hi Dabbid,
reason why I asked the air condition was I wanted one that is working, because I've already got a Sprinter with 4agte and engineered everything, but my air conditioning setup is in the garage, including 5 rib pulley compressor, I wanted to buy yours with the air conditioning working so I don't have to fix mine, but looks like your car's in the same state as mine...

well as you know the only reason why I would ditch my 4agte ae86 for your 1ggte is you can fit the air conditioning, so I can get your car ready to drive straight away, otherwise there's no difference
but if you still interested to sell to me, I need to ask you more, as I thought you already have the air conditioning parts, why the guy quote you $1600??

hey man, yeah maybe there's a difference, and the difference being the 1G 2.0L have better low end torque, heavier engine and for the AE86 it means more front weight bias and more torque induced wheel spins, I'm not after much more than a 240hp AE86 anyway, which I'm sure both the 1G and the 4A can achieve very easily, the air conditioning is important as my friends and family is always in my car, I'm here trying to buy the car off you, if you don't want to help yourself, I'll give $1k to any air cond. guys I'm sure they'll be able to fit my gear into my car and working perfectly.
if you don't want to sell that's not my problem, I have better things to do with my time, and it's not that I can't find a car with air cond. M3, 3000GT, GTR, GT4, GTi-R were all in my list, and they all have sunroof and air cond. I was fully sincere to purchase the car off you, but if you reckon that was funny then good luck with your sale.
couple of weeks ago there was a Pulsar GTi-R for $14,000, SR20DET, quad throttle body, 4 wheel drive, power everything, alarm, air conditon, 0-100 for these cars are < 6 seconds, but your car in its current conditions? Good luck, I'm sure there's faithful AE86 lovers out there willing to pay for it, I did, not now.

mate the quote for the air cond. was drive in drive out
i'm positive i could do it for araound $500
another engine is around $500 also
thing is i just dont have the money to fix either at the moment
so if u want the car, make me an offer for it running 100%
and if u leave a large deposit (enough to cover a/c and engine) i'll have it running 100% before u pick it up

(consider this a free bump)
whats that? a gtir with quad throttle bodies? wow, only like ALL OF THEM have quad throttle bodies, did it have a T28 turbo too? caus i think ALL OF THEM have that too.
air conditioning is for pussies anyway, i ripped mine out recently in the name of weight reduction, and if you have to carry people around in a car, get a van, not a sprinter.

oh duh, who doesn't know a GTi-R doesn't have a quad throttle, and thanks for mentioning the T28, aren't you smart enough to understand it's a comparision of what an extra $2000 can give you, did you notice I've mentioned 4WD as well, coz in case you didn't know NOT MANY GTi-R out there comes with 4WD, so this WAS a bargain!
congrats on ripping out your air cond for the name of weight reductions!! Nice to hear that you're not a pussy too, did you change all your panels to carbon fibre? Took all the bolts that aren't holding the car together? Don't forget to remove the rear wipers, you don't need that, as well as the passenger side lock, the rear trims, carpet, rear seats, after all, who needs the rear seats, the AE86 is a plain racer, no, you don't need seats OR comfort for your family and friends, so why you need the seats?
geez, rip the air cond out for that <5 kg of front and middle weight reduction, WHAT A CHAMPION! What difference does that make to a 250hp AE86 again? 0.001 second of quarter mile time, this guy is a professional! Thanks for your free bump in favour of Dabbid.

LOL@Weight reduction attempt
saving a few kg's won't make such a huge diffence.
and also.. u have all these options of either m3 gtr gto etc etc.. but then u throw a gtir in it? dude the gtir is in a different class... if i were you i'd get something either than the gtir.. sure its a fast car but its old.. looks average and is gay for taking passengers..
get an m3 if u can really afford it.. its luxurious with ballz
seriously if i had a budget like that.. i wouldn't even consider an old car like the 86... seems like ur just makin up shit if yknow wat i mean... haha

hey dude, yeah, sure the GTO and M3 etc are fast cars too with comfort, but the gti-r is small and you can get it into parking spaces! Have you even driven a car out to the city and keep seeing parking spaces that you can't get into? I had that problem with the BM 5 series, honestly cars are cars, I don't mind driving a shitbox around, and what's so bad about an old 90s gti-r pocket rocket anyway? I like driving, never care about straight line speed, even my 323 is enough for any winding roads in Sydney, you can't speed anyway (it's illegal.. )

But I don't understand VuVu's point about how if someone can afford an M3 wouldn't be interested in a Sprinter, Sprinter is a passion! It was a poor guy's racing car, but doesn't mean when a poor guy makes money, he'll dump the AE86, look at the Japanese dudes, they spend over $100,000 in a Sprinter, and they can probably afford Ferrari, IT'S A PASSION! It's the SMALLEST RWD WITH THE BEST HANDLING...

well my point is the 86 is old... thats one thing u cannot change about a car... no matter how much you love it its still an old car.. if you were looking for luxuries like and a/c for example.. then im sure you would consider newer cars? cars with power steering for example but if you were really pasionate about 86's then a/c's wouldn't be an issue right?
i'm just saying that newer cars are better than old cars.. as a general rule of thumb.. my friend just bought a gtir for 10k.. looks like a lil shit car but its fuken fast... but its got problems like all old cars do... i.e sometimes breaks down (electrical problems)...
but by all means get a car that you will enjoy... i just don't think that with a budget of 60k+ you would really consider a gtir... cz they're OLD!
just my opinion don't flame grill my ass.
peace

dabbid, i'm glad you sold your car, i imagine that it is usually pretty hard to sell a heavily modified car,
i wasnt going to post this, but as i have your blessing....
gt20v, im not having a go at you here or anything BUT
i was merely pointing out the fact that you didnt seem to know that GTiRs have quads, i know of a FWD turbo pulsar, but i dont know if it is called a gtir, it may be, but i dont know.
oh, and thanks for calling me the smartest guy in the world, as you failed to find my sarcasm about weight reduction and air conditioning, then i will take that seriously.
the main thing i was trying to point out was your apparent bad mouthing of dabbid, then goign on to brag that you were also looking at "insert random car name that costs ten times as much as a sprinter here" how can you compare an M3 to an AE86? honestly...
all i was saying is that if i had to lug kids, family whatever around in a car, then i wouldn't get a sprinter, or just do as i do and give peopel a lift, under the condition that they do not complain, my car is not a taxi after all.
anyway, flame on if you want, but im sick of it.
hope you can find a sprinter with aircon, or an M3 for 10,000 bucks.

you don't get the point, the luxuries aren't for me, but no dude, I've got a 540i now, the car to drive while the 86 gets fixed up, only 210kw, slower than the M3, and no more city parking for another couple of years But it's a decent car...
but of coz it's only going to be the car I drive to/from work, meet business partners/clients etc. and of coz take my family around for lunch and dinner, in the mean time...
I will get my AE86 resprayed (I've finally found/bought a 15cfm compressor), I'll get the intercooler piping re-done, install the wastegate, move the battery and locate the air filter closer to the front, and of coz tune it probably, and those that knew me knew that I've said the same thing last year... but by the time the car's running nice and clean, it's probably time to sell the car, or anybody interested in a 4 wheel disc brake 4agte that needs a respray??
and no, I'm not here to flame, people like to flame me, but I was approaching Dabbid with pure interest of buying the car off him, but you guys just likes to flame, and I'm not going to care about it either.
btw. if there was a factory FWD Pulsar with Turbo in Australia, it's the N12 Pulsar/EXA
