there are like 1247568439 file sharing programs out there
kazaa typically has over 10 terrabytes of shared files (that's ten thousand gigs)

dude - you really mustn't be trying very hard if you cant find somewhere to download free mp3s
cant really do it from websites anymore (they got shafted big time)
go to www.kazaa.com, download it, run it, and go for it.
or do a search for "kazaalite", which has a whole bunch of shit trimmed from it

Soulseek is another one, both programs that you download and install onto your computer, Identify a folder to share, and start stealing err... *temporarily downloading then deleting* MP3s

oh yeah
and if you d/l a whole album and like it, buy it you bitch!
it's too harsh to d/l songs you like without buying the album - excluding metallica of course. free stealing rights on their stuff, simply because of their napster thing.
as a result, I went out and downloaded all of their albums, and fully intend te never purchase any of them (even tho there are a few I'd like to own, I'll burn them instead)

I generally buy all the CD's that I want, but waitng 3 months for the cd to come out in australia is a pain So I *temporarily* down load them to listen to. If I like I buy, if I don't, well I'm not likely to listen to the MP3 again either.

nah, I do understand
I have such broad taste in music that I'll never be able to afford every album I listen to, and a lot of radio stations dont play a lot of the songs I like - so what are my options?
I buy the albums I like best, and download what I cant afford (and thus wouldn't buy anyway)

O.K firstly Kazza isn't a web site as such, your computer is the web site, what you are doing is allowing other people on the internet to access a selected folder on the HD and they can upload file from that folder ( or any folders within)
As you do to theirs, so your not downloading from 1 site but several computers collections simutaniously.
I use it at work and I haven't had any issues with hackers, But is very adviseable to have up to date Virus software and scan everything you down load.

cool im not a jew i've got shit loads of cds but theres some songs you want that are only on the album and i cant be fkd paying $30 for one song id rather pay $3 for a blank cd

Works a treat. A word of warning however.
Kazza is not just for MP3s, you can download software, videos, pictures anything that is on a computer can be found using this software
SO.... never and I mean never type the word PORN in the search field!
Unless you have unlimited down load time
A good feature of the program is you can start to download files and if you need to turn off your computer the program remebers the selected files and picks up where the download left off.

Try limewire it's the same as kazaa but i think it's better.
Also from what i ahve heard from guys at work is that kazaa is full of spyware and viruses.

Search for Kazaa Lite and use that if you want to keep your PC spyware free, otherwise use a program called Adaware to eliminate all spyware.
I use Kazaa but do an Adaware scan regularly this seems to be fine.
SIMDOG if you are using Kazaa Lite you would probably have no spyware, but if you are worried download the Adaware program as mentioned before which will take all the crap spyware off your computer.

www.yourmp3.net is alright.
www.fileavenue.com used to have mp3's i haven't tried there in a while.
i'll ask the guys at school they're are always downloading music without kazaa and programs like that.

i read somewhere that it is the latest attempt by record companies to stop people downloading.... what i gathered was they F&*&CK up copies of music and plant them onto machines which spread it round.
